Abstract

There are two fundamental points standing out as things more important than others which are in need of reconciliation or rather integration: human
history with its progress and decline, and God‘s word which constitutes that history. Due to such a statement, Christian doctrine of revelation teaches us that God speaks in history; however, it is more percise to say that history is the speech, the word of God. In this respect, God is not so much in history; rather, history is constituted and sustained by God. Lonergan helps us to understand as such particularly with consciousness (self-consciousnes and historical consciousness) which is an actor of historical drama, on the one hand, and the religious experiences of God which is a communicating Person, on the other hand.
