MEWARTAKAN INJIL DALAM SITUASI PERALIHAN. PASTORAL TRANSFORMATIF BERSAMA RAKYAT PAPUA

Abstract

Historically Papuans have been lived their life in terms of segments. There are three segments: OPM (Free Papuan Movement), Indepedence and OTSUS (Special Autonomy). These segments infortunately push the Papuans to live "in between" or in a transitional period which is a logical consequence of policies of others. The segments pervasively constitute their identity with its particulat character.

In this article the segment of OTSUS will be placed as the key point of spreading the gospel to Papuans. On the one hand, the key figure is Papuans who present the drama of grabbing the money of OTSUS. On the other hand, the key figur is the intellectual elite who presents the drama of getting certain political power. Both of them unconsciously how a fundamental mistake to properly understand the segment of OTSUS. In these circumstances, the church is critically challenged and called to proclaim the gospel as the sacrament of world salvation.
